About this concert
"…are one of the most intriguing and theatrical forces in underground metal today: from their music – a captivating combo of prog, post-punk and art rock that could soundtrack a creepy gothic carnival” – Metal Hammer UK
Pulling on a wide range of influences; From dust riddled Spaghetti Westerns accompanied by Ennio Morricone, past the monochrome melancholia of apocalyptic post punk, through deep valleys and steep hills shrouded in progressive darkness and a Nordic noir looking to solve the unexplained murder of the truth. Landing on something once described by a fan as “This is how Nick Cave would sound like if he made metal.”, VULTURE INDUSTRIES has long since established itself as something singular, yet once familiar, strangely recognisable.
This amalgamate of styles may be further explained by drawing possible comparisons with FAITH NO MORE, MR. BUNGLE, ARCTURUS, DEVIN TOWNSEND, VED BUENS ENDE and THE CULT.
With close to 200 concerts behind them, VULTURE INDUSTRIES have built up a reputation for unique and spectacular live shows, often including interaction with the audience, and with the occasional occurrence of pillories and lynching.
"Vulture Industries songs are visionary travelogues, as though they’re on an arcane mission through some unmapped, Victorian city, driven by bustling guitars, textured by Bjørnar’s portentous but playful baritone and Wurlitzer-mimicking keyboards, veering off into monologues that are part Brecht, part Nick Cave. Gleefully theatrical, Vulture Industries keep an enthralled audience in a constant state of anticipation and the conga line Bjørnar kicks off towards the end is a measure of his Pied Piper-esque ability to draw you into a bewildering world of wonders." - Prog Magazine

On the bands 5th album, “Ghosts from the past”, Vulture Industries draws a line from childhood spells of dark mystery and a sympathy for the outcast, to a present where monsters hide under your bed. Waiting, not to prey upon the sleeper, but to hide from the monstrosity of the day.
