Nanna Carling Swingband takes over VEGA with infectious joy of playing With equal parts sparkling charisma, crystal-clear musicality and energetic stage presence, soprano saxophonist and singer Nanna Carling brings the swing jazz to VEGA. In recent years, Carling has toured tirelessly across small intimate venues and large prestigious jazz scenes all over the world, released her debut album That's a Plenty (2022) and has been a guest musician on various bands' tours. This year, the musical course has not changed, on the contrary. Nanna Carling is out on February 14th with her second album, Melodies for Two (2025), and a tour is in the works. With Melodies for Two Nanna Carling takes a big step as a composer and artist. The album is an intimate story about the many phases and facets of love. The first single “Budapest” from the upcoming album has just been released. Here, Carling upholds the jazzy beats in a sound universe with a hint of 1920s jazz clubs and Woody Allen's romantic comedy Midnight in Paris (2011). In 2025, Carling and her musicians in the Nanna Carling Swingband will go on a tour where they will give concerts in their home country of Sweden, Denmark and the rest of Europe.
