About this concert
UNCLE STRUT Home At Last Album Release Party Saturday, May 31st Doors: 8pm Show: 9pm 19+ Uncle Strut is back, and they’re inviting you to join them in celebration of their debut full length LP Home At Last. The band is set to deliver an unforgettable night of high energy rock & roll, dreamy indie surf and psychedelia that will pull you in and keep you moving. With tight grooves, and soaring harmonies, Uncle Strut is ready to bring their biggest sound yet. Expect a set packed with fresh cuts from Home At Last, plus fan favourites that hit just as hard as ever. Joining the lineup are Victoria’s own The Bankes Brothers, delivering their signature mix of soul and indie-folk, and Vancouver’s The Noodle Boys, kicking the night off with infectious grooves and masterful melodies. Uncle Strut Bio: In a short amount of time, Vancouver-based indie band Uncle Strut have turned their dive bar beginnings into sellout headlining shows at legendary venues like their hometown’s Hollywood Theatre, and have shared stages with acclaimed acts such as the Goo Goo Dolls, Baby Jake, and George Thorogood. Over the last four years, singer/guitarist Tyson McNamara, bassist Simon Tejani, and drummer Quincy Flowers have honed their signature blend of surf-infused indie pop, evoking the hazy sun-soaked nostalgia of the '70s. With the recent addition of guitarist Jasper Matthias, the band kicked off 2025 with the anticipated announcement of their debut album, and are currently on tour across Western Canada. Home At Last, Uncle Strut’s first full-length album, seamlessly combines the easygoing charm of Australian surf rock with a deep respect for rock and pop traditions. The album’s playful yet sincere energy draws comparisons to Spacey Jane and Ocean Alley, whilst channeling the spirit of late '60s psychedelia. Influences from The Doors’ mystical allure and The Beach Boys’ kaleidoscopic vision are ever-present, making Home At Last a captivating listen. The Noodle Boys bio: Since 2017, The Noodle Boys have been simmering in the local Vancouver music scene. Their menu of songs ranges from summer-love radio hits to manic psych rock mayhems. With each show, they further their reputation as a must-see live band guaranteed to leave you coming back for seconds. Currently unsigned, the band embraces the DIY spirit with a talented crew of videographers and producers backing them up. To date, their catalogue includes the release of three EPs and one full length album “Bring Your Own Broth”. At face value, The Noodle Boys look like any other three piece band, but they are convincingly anything but. Their music will move your feet and move your soul. It’s a sonic palette that walks a fine line between heart break and happiness. So dance while you cry, party while you ache, and always know you’ve got The Noodle Boys to lean on.
