Don't Tell Iris Biography

The band, Don’t Tell Iris, was brought into existence the moment its members found the following journal entry written on a scrap of very old paper:

April 15, 1908

I crept out of my room this morning, after having finished breakfast, like usual. It is hard to tiptoe effectively with shoes on, so I usually go barefoot, which is just as well since I enjoy feeling the unfiltered dirt beneath my toes. I recently snagged A History of Ancient Culture and Mythology from the library (seeing as they wouldn’t allow me to borrow it politely) and have been bringing it with me to read in the woods (I tuck it into my dress until I am within a safe distance from any prominent windows.) I’ve also been conversing with the trees somewhat regularly… it turns out they have much more interesting things to talk about than anyone else in this place. That is most of what I did today, in a nutshell. I suppose the majority of my time was spent somewhere hidden in my head.

I’m no more or less in love today than I was yesterday. Take that as you will.

If you happen to stumble across this proof of my rule-breaking. I must remind you that finders may be keepers, but keepers better not be snitches… DON’T TELL IRIS.

Best,
The Narrator

Whether the contents of this letter are fact or fiction, our listeners must decide for themselves. As the entry is dated over a hundred years ago, and its narrator is long since dead, it hardly seems important.
