Translating to before the longing, the project is inspired by before saudade’s Brazilian roots, combining elements of samba, bossa nova, and electronic music - thissongissick

The melodic, deep, afro, and progressive house producer and multilingual singer, before saudade, grew up speaking Portuguese and spent his childhood summers in Minas Gerais Brazil with his mom and large family. At night, they would perform Bossa Nova songs on acoustic guitar in the living room.

His debut song was a cover of the classic Bossa Nova song, água de beber. He performed and sang the iconic song by Jobim with his own unique house production. His second song, nada, was inspired by the famous Jorge Ben song “mas que nada".

His record need u hit #1 on SiriusXM Chill. That was followed by the Grammy Nominated Ash Nova & Julian Gray Don't Go Away (before saudade & Andrew Spellman Remix).

The artist joined legendary Japanese house DJ, Shingo Nakamura, for his debut and sold out US tour. The two collaborated with Platinum recording artist Lonely in the Rain for their Out of Ten - Shingo Nakamura & before saudade Remix on French label Inside Records.

With writing and production credits on records that have combined for 1 billion streams, before saudade is known for his contagious melodies and lyrics. This includes credits with John Oates, Billy Ray Cyrus, WAR, Steve Aoki, Infected Mushroom, Kenny Loggins, and syncs with Rocket League, Fortnite, Reddit, and Rec Room.
