Dubinski are 4 brothers from Leeds and a nephew.
They play energetic music with plenty of melody.
My mate describes them as Alex Turner singing vocals for Franz Ferdinand. Dubinski very much their own people but it gives an idea.
They have just finished playing 4 gigs at the Voodoo Rooms. A few of us have been to all 4 and watched them get tighter and sharper as they go.
So many good tunes, fast, slow you name it. These lads all play well and Eugene is a dynamic frontman with a vocal style that really suits the band. Drum and bass absolutely solid foundation and Fergus talented and tasteful on lead. Also not forgetting nephew Lukasz (not sure of spelling) who adds some nice guitar and synth textures to round out the sound.
The lads are taking a well earned break before heading off round the country. If they are in your part of the world treat yourselves. When they play at home next time I hope to be there.
Come and join me!

Dubinski Biography
Born in rural North Yorkshire and raised in the Scottish Highlands, Dubinski are four inseparable siblings: Eugene, Fergus, Donal and Eoin Gaine. The Gaine brothers spent their childhood in atmospheric and social isolation. A shared love of music was the common thread amongst the four, so they spent their adolescent years writing and performing songs for the sheer joy of it. Eventually the brothers moved to Edinburgh, having decided to raise the bar of their childhood music ‘hobby’ to make a proper go of it. Taking on the band name Dubinski (their late mother’s maiden name), the band recorded their debut album at RAK Studios in London, working with Grammy Award winning producers/engineers Mike Horner (Yonaka, Franz Ferdinand, Hot Chip) and Robbie Nelson (Beck, Jarvis Cocker, Rolling Stones). Having recently released the eponymous album worldwide through Gnu Roam (Kartel Music Group), Dubinski have taken their high-energy show on the road as an international touring act. Dubinski's sophomore album titled 'What Is Your Definition Of Happiness?' is now available on all streaming platforms, limited edition green vinyl, and CD.
