DJ und Produzent Daniel Stenger lebt Musik mit Leib und Seele. Seit 2003 landen seine jazz'n funky Downbeats unter seinem Alter Ego „Flashbaxx“ auf internationalen Compilations (u.a. Sony Music, EMI, Ministry Of Sound) neben Größen wie Moby, Jazzanova, Blank & Jones oder Bonobo und finden immer wieder ihren Weg in die Playlists von DJs und Tastemaker wie Rainer Trüby (Compost), Robert Luis (Tru Thoughts) und Daniel Paul (Cabinet Records).
Auch sein jüngster Flashbaxx-Release „Take Care My Friend“ (NuNorthern Soul, UK) bildet da keine Ausnahme: das 2022 veröffentlichte Mini-Album wurde von der Szene überaus positiv angenommen und läutete für den Aschaffenburger nach fast 10 jähriger Abstinenz ein kleines Comeback ein. Für die Remix-EP konnten namhafte Producer wie Atjazz und Moods verpflichtet werden.
Als Produzent und dritter Mann am Podcast-Mic der „Proseccolaune“ konnte er sein komödiantisches Talent ausbauen und mit seinen Studio-Skills verbinden. Stengers unkonventioneller Content irgendwo zwischen Quatsch und Nerd-Shit auf Social Media erreicht eine stetig wachsende Fangemeinde.
In seinen DJ Sets vermischt er nahtlos verschiedene Facetten von Downbeat bis House mit Einflüssen aus Disco, Boogie, Jazz und Funk. Seit 2024 unter seinem bürgerlichen Namen auch als Live Act unterwegs bringt Stenger mit Synth und Sampler seine eigenen Mash-Ups von Disco und House Classics auf den Dancefloor.

DJ and producer Flashbaxx aka Daniel Stenger lives and breathes music. Since 2003, his tasteful produced jazz'n funky downbeats have landed on international compilations (including Sony Music, EMI, Ministry Of Sound) alongside the likes of Moby, Jazzanova, Blank & Jones and Bonobo and have repeatedly found their way into the playlists of DJs and tastemakers such as Rainer Trüby (Compost), Robert Luis (Tru Thoughts) and Daniel Paul (Cabinet Records). His 2022 release „Take Care My Friend“ (NuNorthern Soul, UK) is no exception: the mini-album was extremely well received by the scene and heralded a small comeback for the Aschaffenburg native after almost 10 years of abstinence. Well-known producers such as Atjazz and Moods were engaged for the Remix-EP. With his unconventional content on social media, somewhere between comedy and music skills, Stenger manages the balancing act of being an accessible entertainer with subcultural credibility, which has earned him a steadily growing following. In his DJ sets, he seamlessly blends different facets from downbeat to house with influences from disco, boogie, jazz and funk.
Since 2024, Stenger has also been performing as an electronic live act, bringing his own mash-ups of disco and house classics to the dancefloor. His sweaty performance has already taken him to the legendary KitKat Club in Berlin, among other places. Selected tracks from his live set will be released on the brand new label Groovers Records (Leipzig) in 2025, fulfilling Stenger's long-cherished wish for an uncompromising house record with a disco twist.
