Candace Vargas Biography

Candace Vargas is a twenty-two (22) time award winner with the New Mexico Hispano Music Association (NMHMA) to include 2008 Female Vocalist, Original Song of The Year, Ranchera, Cumbia, and for (5) five years in a row Conjunto Song of the Year, and a Quince Grandes award winner. Candace Vargas is a two-time Grammy award consideration.

Candace Vargas is a 2019 Tejano Music Awards Nominee for Female Vocal, CD and Song of the year. Candace Vargas will be performing for the Tejano music Awards on November 16, 2019 at Scottish Rite in San Antonio, TX.

Candace has been performing for ninteen years has had the honor of touring all over the Mid-West and West Coast representing our New Mexico’s music, culture, and traditions.

Candace’s has recorded nine (9) professional music CDs and has released her 9th CD “A Mi Modo” in June, 2018.

Candace received her Bachelor of Science in Mathematics on May of 2016 and is pursuing a Master of Science in Computational Mathematics.
