Tablefox Biography
Tablefox, a dynamic four-piece Indie Rock sensation from Auckland, NZ, burst onto the scene in November 2015 with their debut album, OBJECTS, which captivated audiences both locally and internationally. Following this success, they released the electrifying single "Under a Broken Smile" in November 2016, earning extensive radio play and rave reviews. Their sophomore album, You and I Will Find a Way, dropped in 2017 to critical acclaim across NZ and Australia. Riding this wave of success, Tablefox embarked on their first Australian tour, leaving a trail of enthusiastic fans in their wake. The band's powerful anthems "Nothing Ever Changes" and "Right or Wrong" also made waves, being spotlighted in numerous prominent Australian media outlets.
Tablefox has rocked stages across NZ, touring with iconic acts like Scottish legends Big Country (twice), City Calm Down, The Feelers, Stellar, The Charlatans, James, Ash, Inspiral Carpets and RIDE. In 2020, they kicked off an incredible run with the release of the first of seven singles, dominating the NZ Rock Chart for the next four years. The climax came in February 2022 with the final single from the album Battles, "Keep Them Guessing," which skyrocketed to number 1 and held a top 10 spot for 18 weeks, following a sold-out release show that left fans buzzing.
March 2023 was an electrifying whirlwind for Tablefox as they shared stages with Irish icons Ash, igniting sold-out crowds at Tuning Fork and San Fran. Their single "Mother" blazed through NZ Rock Radio's playlists, followed by the unstoppable "Only a Matter of Time," gaining momentum after supporting UK legends Inspiral Carpets on their NZ tour. Fresh off the adrenaline of their cover of Australian Crawl's "Reckless," the band kicked off a roaring 10th anniversary tour. Fast forward to 2024, and Tablefox has unleashed yet another powerhouse anthem with "Don't Wait for Me to Be What You Want Me to Be," dominating the airwaves of all prominent Rock stations as they gear up for the explosive release of their fourth album. In August the song hit The Rock 2000 for the first time and also saw Tablefox support British legends RIDE at a packed Powerstation.
