Edwin Raphael Biography

Equipped with smooth, chilling lyrics and innate musical capabilities, 'Ocean Walk' his first EP had been labelled as a "hidden gem with somber instrumentals and an eerie, yet beautiful listen" by pressrelease.ca quite reminiscent of the beachy and rustic sounds of Ben Howard.

After a coy two years of playing a handful gigs, 2017 saw Edwin Raphael release his sophomore EP ‘Cold Nights’. The EP presented a darker and heavier progression in terms of songwriting and production with heartbreak song ‘Colder’ instantly becoming a low key hit being featured on Spotify playlists such as Indie Pop and Chill, Indie Chillout and Lush + Ethereal.

2018 saw Edwin lined up for shows in Toronto, New York, & playing multiple sold-out shows in Montreal as well as a sold-out show in London opening for Hollow Coves, Noah Kahan, Harry Hudson, JP Saxe & Cape Cub.

His much-awaited debut full-length album ‘Will You Think of Me Later?’ is now racking up more than ten million streams highlighting Edwin as someone who is on top of his songwriting abilities & one to watch out for in the coming years. The album has been featured on Blogs Mystic Sons, Come Here Floyd and Indie Obsessive among others.

Staring at Ceilings EP produced with Marcus Paquin (Arcade Fire, Tim Baker, Stars) stands as a spectrum of human indulgence and the cost of our anxieties. Through this 20-minute voyage of his innate feelings and a ceiling that alludes a mirage, you are brought back to this exact moment; the present.

‘Sights Like These’ is the first single from the sophomore LP ‘Warm Terracotta’ due out in 2022 via Dine Alone Records.
