Callie Twisselman Biography

Raised on her family’s seventh-generation ranch in California, Callie Twisselman grew up immersed in country living, learning the value of hard work while feeding cattle, riding horses, and competing in rodeos. Inspired by her mother’s local touring band and legends like Shania Twain, Dolly Parton, and George Strait, she knew from the age of 10 that music was her calling. After being chosen to sing the national anthem at a local fair, opening for Bonnie Raitt, she became completely hooked and began singing and performing whenever she had the chance. By 15, she had learned to play guitar and started writing her own songs.

In the following years, Twisselman honed her craft by playing local fairs and songwriter rounds , eventually recording her first EP in Nashville. She made the leap to Music City full-time, and in 2021, she released her debut EP, Closure, produced by Grammy-winner Aaron Pearce.

Last year, Twisselman released In My World, an uplifting anthem about dreams and aspirations, produced by longtime collaborator Tyler Cain. She then joined forces with global icon Dolly Parton, Maddie & Tae and Jessie James Decker for Gonna Be You, an ode to the power of female friendship. Twisselman also had the honor of opening for Jelly Roll at his debut Canadian show in St. Catharines, Ontario.

With more new music and touring ahead, including a performance at C2C Festival and opening for Willow Avalon in the UK, Twisselman is shaping up to make 2025 her biggest year yet.
