Carl Zinssou

Carl Zinssou is a young pianist and composer. His quartet is influenced by the nordic jazz scene, as well as the modern New Yorker-jazz. Their debut EP “Et ungdomstestamente”, presents a new take on modern jazz with piano and cello in front. The quartet features Maiken Thunbo on cello, Lasse Gerup on drums and Elias Hvidtfeldt on double bass.
Based on a love for improvisation, the compositions invite the musicians to take chances and explore their personal expression in the music. The music is a tribute to naivety, aspiration, and all the things that characterize youth.
