Ricki (official xo) Biography
GARAGE POP, ROCK AND ROLL.
BORN IN A MIDWEST BASEMENT. HERE TO DESTROY YOU.
You’re Wrong, the first single off of the forthcoming debut record, Naked Dreamer from rock and roll singer songwriter Ricki, is a feisty, sludgy garage rock anthem. “This is a song for anyone who’s ever tried to tell me what to do, or left some kind of stupid comment on my social media.” Says Ricki, “sometimes people like to offer unsolicited advice or criticism based on their own perception of what I am presenting and the sort of box they’ve put me in as a (female) artist.” Take this song as a suggestion; free yourself from ridged expectations and leave room for the possibility that it could open and expand your heart and mind.
