ISYA

ISYA is the long running solo project of Jake Brown, a veteran of Florida punk and post hardcore bands since the late 1990s including FL's Moments In Grace and Washington DC’s Decahedron.

Emerging in the mid 2000s through burned CDs, MySpace pages, and obscure internet circles, ISYA became Brown’s outlet for his most chaotic and electronic ideas blending synthpunk, digital hardcore, noise, and industrial music into an intense live experience built around improvisation, violent lighting, hypnosis imagery, and sensory overload.

Influences range from The Locust, The Flying Luttenbachers, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Zao, Fear of Faith / Industry Eleven, Frodus, and 90s industrial music. ISYA also fits comfortably alongside boundary pushing contemporary artists like HEALTH, Black Dresses, Fire-Toolz, Femtanyl, and Machine Girl.

ISYA has performed throughout Florida’s DIY and underground communities alongside artists including Godflesh, Planning For Burial, Bestial Mouths, Problems (Darren Wayne Keen), and Andy LaPlegua of Combichrist.
