MAR Biography
Two years after her debut in the entertainment industry, MAR has proven she was born for singing and songwriting, feeling completely like a 'fish in water' in this career.
MAR began her solo career with songs like “QUÉDATE,” “CALAVERA,” and her own version of “MÁS QUE TU AMIGA” (originally a hit by her father, the living music legend and Michoacán-born singer-songwriter Marco Antonio Solís). These songs reached the number one spots on the #HOTSONG lists in various international radio charts.
From her solo debut in August 2022 at the Palacio de los Deportes in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, - where she performed as a guest artist for Luis Fonsi and Reik, - to high-profile concerts with Danny Ocean, Manuel Turizo, and Camilo, as well as her extensive tour as a ‘guest artist’ for Gloria Trevi, MAR’s career has seen a steady rise in the music scene.
The year 2023 marked a spectacular moment in her journey, highlighted with memorable events such as the release of her first single in English, "Taking Back Your Heart", part of her her EP "Colors Of Love", which showcased her versatility and passion for exploring new musical horizons.
In September 2023, MAR shared the stage once again with Gloria Trevi in Las Vegas. In October, she announced her participation in Gloria’s "Mi Soundtrack" tour, spanning 29 cities in 2024, among them the iconic Radio City Music Hall in New York.
Adding to her list of achievements, MAR also shone as a presenter at the 30th edition of the Latin Billboards in Miami where she had the honor of presenting the “Best New Artist” award to Peso Pluma.
In November 2023, MAR was invited as the opening act for Marco Antonio Solís’s world tour concerts at the Movistar Arena in Bogotá, Colombia, delighting 28,000 fans in unforgettable evenings.
In December, MAR lit up the Dodger Stadium with her presence at the "BÉSAME MUCHO" Festival and closed the year as a special guest on Telemundo’s New Year’s Eve special program, "BIENVENIDO 2024".
In May 2024, MAR released “OJITOS DE COLORES”, a reggaeton/pop track filled with energy, joy, and sensuality. The song was co-written by the artist herself alongside Christian Camilo Mena, Manuel Larrad, and Carlos Santander, and produced by the award-winning Colombian producer Saga White Black.
In September, MAR surprised her audience and the music industry with a new, unreleased cumbia-pop song titled “NO TE VAS”, which quickly became one of the most listened-to and danced-to tracks in the final months of 2024.
MAR is ready to embrace the challenges of 2025. Her upcoming performances will be as a ‘guest artist’ on MARCO ANTONIO SOLÍS’s “MÁS CERCA DE TI WORLD TOUR,” where she will perform at major venues across South America.
