The Area 53 Festival in Leoben is an absolute highlight for all fans of the heavier side of music! From July 10 to 12, 2025, the Schladnitz district will once again become the epicenter of the heavy metal scene. For three days, you can experience an impressive lineup of top international and national bands live. Among the legends performing are Saxon, WASP, Gloryhammer, Kanonenfieber, Warkings, Steve ‘n’ Seagulls, Varg, and many more.

I discovered Leons Massacre on instagram and was instantly hooked. Their songs are full of beautiful melodies. Total earworms. I couldn’t get them out of my head, so I immediately had to buy concert tickets. And I'm glad I did.
The band members are seriously talented. They know what they’re doing. The screams were very good, powerful but not overdone, and they were super engaging with the audience. You could tell they genuinely enjoy performing and connecting with people.
Just a heads up: if you listen to them, be prepared to hum their melodies for days. I have been walking around with their songs stuck in my head ever since. GRAVITYYYYYY. Truly an amazing live show
