Der kanadische Indie-Pop-Künstler T. Thomason kommt mit seiner Dirty Thoughts Tour am 9.3. nach Köln. ÜBER DIE VERANSTALTUNG Inspiration für die Dirty Thoughts Tour war der gleichnamige Song auf T.s kürzlich erschienenem Album „Tenderness“. Das Begehren und die Selbstfindung als queere trans* Person und die Bedeutung intimer Beziehungen stehen im Mittelpunkt dieser Tour. Es geht um die Verwandlung von Scham in Freude und Enthusiasmus, denn das ist nach T.s Überzeugung immens wichtig – unabhängig davon, welche Community für uns Zuhause ist. 17:00 - 17:45: Dementsprechend wird Kuem zum Auftakt des Abends einen komprimierten Workshop präsentieren: "How to make love to a bellybutton – eine sinnliche Erkundung verborgener Schätze“. Bauchrollen werden sanft gestreichelt, Gänsehaut wird frech an Flanken herbeigekitzelt, ein Bauchnabel wird vorsichtig befummelt... Dieser Workshop ist für dich, wenn du deinen Bauch als sinnlichen Spielplatz (wieder)entdecken möchtest. Du bist besonders eingeladen, wenn du dich für deinen Bauch schämst oder dich von ihm losgelöst fühlst. Wir wollen einen liebevollen, sanften, langsamen Rahmen schaffen, um diesen oft vernachlässigten Körpereil von uns zu erforschen. Wenn du einfach nur wertungsfrei deinen eigenen Bauch halten möchtest, ist das großartig. Wer weiß, was für sinnliche und überbordende Begegnungen du haben wirst? Thomason begeistert mit seinen energiegeladenen, emotionalen Indie-Pop-Auftritten das kanadische und internationale Publikum schon seit seiner Jugend. Als Verfechter von queeren und trans* Rechten ist T. bestrebt, durch seine Musik positive, lebensbejahende Erlebnisse für seine Community (und alle anderen) zu schaffen. Songwriting ist für ihn eine Möglichkeit „schwierige Dinge zärtlich zu verpacken“. Eine Zusammenarbeit mit Sarah McLachlan, im Vorprogramm von Carly Rae Jepsen zu spielen und mit Collective Soul auf Tour zu gehen, sind nur einige Höhepunkte in T.s bisheriger Karriere. T.s jüngstes Album "Tenderness", das 2024 bei Six Shooter Records erschien, ist vollgepackt mit "Oden an die ruhigen, schönen und beängstigenden Momente der Intimität" (Range Magazine) und hat viele Facetten. Es beginnt schillernd, verträumt und intim und baut sich langsam zu einer Pop-Rock-Explosion von Nostalgie und Gefühlen auf: Sehnsucht und Dankbarkeit, Liebe und Angst, Entschlossenheit und Freude.“ (CBC Music). Kuem (er/ keine Pronomen) trans maskuline Person of Colour, ist ausgebildeter Sexological Bodyworker, Cranio-sakraler Therapeut, Somatischer Coach und Diversitätsberater. Er begleitet Klient*innen sowohl in Einzelsitzungen als auch in Körperwahrnehmungsworkshops. Kuem ist besonders daran interessiert, mit tin/ queeren/ BIPoC Communities zu arbeiten. Oberstes Gebot ist dabei Neugier, Offenheit und das Einlassen auf den Prozess. Kuem möchte spielerische Begegnungen mit dem Selbst initiieren. ÜBER DRIP Unsere Vision: ein sexpositiver Laden mit queerfeministischem Anspruch in Köln. Ein Laden, in dem ihr Dildos, Vibrierendes, Masturbatoren, Flogger, Binder, Tucking-Unterwäsche und Co anschauen, anfassen oder anprobieren und euch kompetent aber entspannt beraten lassen könnt. Ein Laden für Alle, der die Bedürfnisse von Queers priorisiert mitdenkt. Wir sortieren Toys nach Funktion statt nach Geschlecht oder sexueller Orientierung und verzichten auf sexistische, heteronormative Darstellungen. drip soll aber nicht nur Geschäft, sondern auch Begegnungsort werden, in dem Vorstellungen rund um Körper, Sexualität, Beziehung und Begehren hinterfragt werden. Zum Beispiel mit Vorträgen und Workshops, die Raum für Austausch und Community Care schaffen. Dank einer erfolgreich beendeten Crowdfunding-Kampagne wird diese Vision 2025 Realität, sobald wir einen passenden Raum gefunden haben. The spirit of the tour is one of embracing desire and self discovery as a queer trans person, and the sacredness of intimate connection. It is about transforming shame into wonder and joy, which T. believes is needed, regardless of what communities we call home! 5pm - 5:45pm: Kuem Song will present a condensed workshop to open the evening. "How To Make Love to a Bellybutton - A Sensual Exploration of Hidden Treasures": Softly caressing belly rolls, naughtily creating goosebumps on flanks, gently fingering belly buttons… This workshop is for you if you want to (re)connect and (re)discover your belly as a sensual playground. Particularly feel invited if you feel ashamed or detached from your belly. I aim to create a loving, gentle, slow container to explore this often neglected part of us. If you just want to hold your own belly without judgment, that's awesome. Who knows what lush and voluptuous encounters you may have? ABOUT THE PERFORMERS: T. Thomason has captured audiences with high energy, emotional indie pop performances in Canada & beyond since his teenage years. A passionate advocate for queer/trans rights, T. aims to create life affirming, joyful experiences for his community (& everyone else) through music. He approaches songwriting as a commitment to “Say tough things tenderly,” a practice revealing an impressive depth of wisdom, clarity & courage in the young artist. Collaborating with Sarah McLachlan, opening for Carly Rae Jepsen, & touring with Collective Soul are only some highlights of T.’s exciting career to date. T.’s most recent album ‘Tenderness’, released by Six Shooter Records in 2024, is “filled up with odes to quiet, beautiful, and scary moments of intimacy” (Range Magazine), and “Contains multitudes. It starts off as shimmery, dreamy, and intimate and slowly builds into a pop-rock explosion of nostalgia and feelings: longing and gratitude, love and fear, determination and joy.” (CBC Music). Kuem (he/no pronouns) trans masculine person of color, is a trained sexological bodyworker, craniosacral therapist, somatic coach and diversity consultant. He accompanies clients in both individual sessions and body awareness workshops. Kuem is particularly interested in working with trans/queer/BIPoC communities. The top priority is curiosity, openness and engaging in the process. Kuem wants to initiate playful encounters with the self. From drip: Our vision: a queer-feminist, sex-positive store in Cologne. A store where you can look at, touch and explore dildos, vibrators, masturbators, floggers, binders, tucking underwear and the like and get competent yet relaxed and queer-to-queer advice. A store for everyone that prioritizes the needs of queers. We sort toys according to function rather than gender or sexual orientation and avoid sexist, heteronormative representations. drip will not only be a store, but also a community space where ideas about bodies, sexuality, relationships and desire are questioned. For example, by hosting lectures and workshops and creating space for exchange, shared learning as well as community care. Thanks to a successful crowdfunding campaign, we are about to make this vision a reality in 2025.
