Ginton Biography
Amsterdam-based, Ginton, is a platinum DJ/Producer, and guitarist. His musical journey began at the age of 8 with piano lessons, followed by guitar classes at the age of 11. Ginton further sculpted his puristic talent by studying Jazz Guitar at the Conservatorium van Rotterdam.
Throughout his career, Ginton has showcased his musical prowess as the guitarist for renowned Dutch pop band 'The Fam,' gracing illustrious mainstages like North Sea Jazz, Lowlands, Pinkpop, and Concert at Sea. Notably, he clinched the Dutch national “Pop Prize” alongside Ronnie Flex in 2018.
Drawing inspiration from musical legends like Santana, Jimi Hendrix, and The Wailers, Ginton embarked on a distinctive course. Expanding his compositional skillset with production prowess, he garnered attention with the globally renowned hip-hop icon Drake on "Tie That Binds". The song became a standout feature of the 2022 album 'Honestly, Nevermind,' securing the #1 position on the Billboard chart.
Continuing this success, Ginton produced songs for esteemed artists Koffee, Wizkid, Rico Nasty, and Ape Drums (Major Lazor). Additionally, Ginton contributed to leading Ghanaian artist Stonebwoy’s achievements, notably with the production of "Non Stop". The track, part of the album '5th Dimension,' reached the #8 position on the acclaimed Billboard Reggae chart.
Fast forward to 2024, Ginton propels his solo endeavor and founded “Woody Trees”.
