Join The Upper Strata for an immersive live experience where dreamy synth pop and darkwave meets sci-fi storytelling. This US/Swiss duo brings their graphic novel to life on stage, blending lush soundscapes with visuals in a cosmic homage to anime, noir, and classic pulp.
Support from Glasgow’s local indie outfit Leanover as well as Mallet Space — an 8-piece alt-rock and puppet theatre collective whose debut was described as “a Vince Guaraldi soundtrack for Charlie Brown, played by Pavement” (Johnny Pictish, Lost Map Records).

It features tales of galactic freedom fighters, an ill-fated detective, and mystical warriors.
Their genre-defying sound fuses dream pop and shoegaze, with ethereal vocals, spacey guitars, and bold synth melodies. On stage, Johnny (vocals, guitar) and Regula (bass, synth, vocals) bring this universe to life. They perform alongside vivid projections from their graphic novel to create a captivating audiovisual experience.
