Sharkey & The Sparks

Sharkey & The Sparks is the inspired creation of father and son guitar slingers Sharkey McEwen and Ben McEwen, who formed the Sparks with a select group of their talented musician friends. Sharkey and Ben started performing as a duo in 2017 when Ben was just 14 years old. In January 2022 they debuted with their full band line up, and the Sparks have been flying ever since.
The Sparks include: Felipe Torres on drums, RJ McCarty on keyboards, Quinn Petkus on bass, Oliver Petkus on trombone, Premik Russell Tubbs on saxophone, Luis Perez on trumpet, and Carla Springer on backing vocals. Sharkey & The Sparks play beloved covers from the 60s and 70s and beyond, along with their original compositions.
Sharkey is also well known to music lovers in the northeast and beyond as the lead guitarist of The Slambovian Circus of Dreams.
