Lukas Oravec

Born 21. October 1988 in Žilina (SK). After finishing his study at Conservatory in Zilina, he was accepted to Royal Academy of Music Aarhus, (DK) (2008/2009), majoring in classical trumpet under Christian Steenstrup and Martin Schuster. At the same time he was studied jazz trumpet under Jakob Buchanan. Lukas continued his studies at Janáčkova akademie múzických umění v Brně (CZ) (2009/2010) under prof. Jan Broda in classical music and under prof. Jan Pribil in jazz interpretation. Later he went to study in Akademia Muzyczna im. Karola Szymanowskiego Katowice (PL ) (2010/2011) at department of classical music under prof. Stanislaw Dziewior and department of jazz music under Piotr Wojtasik. Currently, Lukas is studying jazz interpretation at Janacek Academy in Brno under prof. Juraj Bartoš. From October 2013 he start study on City of Vienna University in class of Jörg Engels.
