Elsi Sloan on yksi Suomen mielenkiintoisimpia nuoria muusikoita. Queer-rakkaudesta ja maailman ajoittain karusta kauneudesta laulavan aktivisti-artistin musiikki pursuaa innovatiivisia äänimaisemia, jotka sulauttavat yhteen popin, räpin ja taiderockin elementtejä. Jokainen Elsi Sloanin livekeikka on oma musiikillinen seikkailunsa – kokemus, jota ei voi sanoin kuvata, vaan joka on koettava itse. Elsin mukana lavalla loistavat basisti Saara Mänttäri ja rumpali Vilho Louhivuori.
VIMMA on energistä ja voimakasta indierockia viuluilla höystettynä. Vimma Biography
Vimma is energetic and powerful indie rock with violins. The members of the band, who have a background in environmental activism, write songs about what it feels like when the planet is destroyed and what should be done about it. Vimma's music offers bitter-salty softness and a fierce sense of power in the burning world. Or just incredibly good music.
Vimma's second album, In the Eye of the Tornado, was released in October 2023 and earned the band an Emma Gala nomination in the Critics' Choice category in 2024. From the upcoming third album, one single has been released, the folk/punk rallying song Kapina on kuumaa ("Rebellion is hot").
The band encourages its listeners not only to listen to the music, but also to follow their hearts and take bold steps according to their values.
