Kenya-born Elsy Wameyo has emerged as a force to be reckoned with, a chameleonic artist pouring life’s experiences into dynamic pieces of art. 2022 saw the release of her debut EP, ‘Nilotic’, a self-produced fusion of soul-infused hip-hop and alt-R&B that saw praise for its incisive lyrics and impressive production. Elsy has cut her teeth as a spirited performer alongside the likes of Sampa The Great and Aminé, as well as earning early cosigns from artists such as Tierra Whack and Tyler the Creator. Following a sold out run of arena shows in Australia, the young artist embarked on international tours throughout Europe. 2024 has also brought her to a new creative touchstone, a place of reclamation and self-empowerment with the release of her debut studio album, Saint Sinner. Stories of aggressive fearlessness and profound boldness are heard on her latest singles ‘Umva’ & ‘Conquer’ as Elsy battles with inner demons, temptations and worldly voices to find a way back to her guiding spirit.
