Die US-amerikanische Singer-Songwriter-Legende Amy Rigby veröffentlicht am 30. August 2024 ihr neues Album „Hang In There With Me.“ Die elf aktuellen Songs, geschrieben von Amy und von Wreckless Eric im gemeinsamen Zuhause des Paares im ländlichen Upstate New York aufgenommen, erlauben einen fesselnden Einblick in ihr Leben der letzten Jahre. Sterblichkeit, Alter und jugendliche Fehltritte werden in Amys einfühlsamen Texten nicht sehnsuchtsvoll, sondern vielmehr entschlossen und triumphierend reflektiert. Rigbys markante Stimme deckt in sehr direkter Weise Themen wie Liebe, Verlust und missglückte DIY-Projekte ab – mit mal aufgedrehten, mal schimmernden Gitarren, einprägsamen Basslinien, einer Vielzahl von Synthesizern, Keyboards, Beatboxen und ab und an begleitet von einem Schlagzeuger, den Amy und Eric in ihre rustikale, mid-century Echokammer eingeladen haben.

Amy Rigby Biography
A teenage denizen of CBGB who fell in love with country songwriting, Rigby started bands Last Roundup and the Shams in NYC’s East Village before launching a solo career with 90's classic concept album Diary Of A Mod Housewife. Her song Dancing With Joey Ramone is a staple on Little Steven's Underground Garage. She lives, writes and records in Catskill, New York with her husband and sometime bandmate Wreckless Eric, and tours regularly in the US and UK. Amy has contributed writing to the Village Voice, Talkhouse and Slate. Her first book, Girl To City: A Memoir was published in 2019.
