Krystl Biography
Hey! My name is Krystl, an independent artist from the Netherlands.
For the last 13 years I've been on a musical journey 🦋
Here's a snippet of my story: In 2009, I signed my first record contract with Universal Music.
My career took off in 2010 with my debut single Golden Days, which was also featured in a Martini commercial.
In 2011, I had the honor of winning an Edison Award for Best Newcomer, along with a 3FM Award and a Buma Award. Since then, I've released three solo albums featuring radio singles like Bottles, Fool For You, Golden Days and Circles.
Since 2018, I've also been part of the female country/pop trio: The BlueBirds. Working and sharing the stage with these two amazing girls is fantastic. Together we've released two albums (Sisters and Great Big World), followed by multiple successful club and theatre shows throughout the Netherlands.
My latest album Good For You, Good For Me (released in August 2022) holds a special place in my heart. It's a much more vulnerable and atmospheric piece of work, capturing all the phases one goes through after a breakup.
About a year ago, I got myself a handpan and somehow, it invited me to sing in Dutch. So now I'm working on my first Dutch album, accompanied by a handpan.
