Albums include Weathering The Storm, (Jo Harrop/Jamie McCredie), The Heart Wants, (Jo Harrop/Hannah V ft Christian McBride), When Winter Turns To Spring, (Jo Harrop/Paul Edis) , The Path Of A Tear (Produced by Larry Klein), and forthcoming album, made with producer Chris Seefried (Lady Blackbird)
Jo won best jazz album 2023 for her co-written album, When Winter Turns to Spring, and was nominated twice for vocalist of the year category. The Heart Wants album reached number 13 in the US Jazz album charts and was playlisted on Watercolors Sirius XM radio.
Iggy Pop descibes her as a 'very fine jazz singer' - 'delicious, I believe her'
DJ Jo Whiley has continuously played Jo's songs on her BBC Radio 2 show, calling her one of her favourite voices, 'divine' and 'amazing'.
Producer Larry Klein describes Jo having a 'rare and honest voice'.
Originally from the north east of England, residing in London, as an artist, Jo has graced some of the worlds most prestigious jazz venues worldwide, including Dizzys, at Lincoln Center New York, SF Jazz club, San Francisco, Ronnie Scotts in London, The Royal Abert Hall, The Sage, Gateshead, to name a few.
A jazz singer and song stylist, known as having an intimate, velvet, smokey, bluesy tone, she is said to be able to 'melt even the chilliest of hearts'.
Influences include, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Sarah Vaughan, Tony Bennett, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Dusty Springfield.
