Après avoir fait paraître son 13ième album Spark Bird l'an dernier, la plus québécoise des chanteuses canadiennes Emilie-Claire Barlow présentera un nouvel album entièrement en français au printemps 2025. Enregistré à Montréal avec le réalisateur François Richard, l’album sera une véritable lettre d’amour au Québec et la langue française. Tous les détails seront dévoilés au courant des prochains mois mais personne ne sera déçu. Tout pointe vers un grand disque de l’une des plus grandes chanteuses au pays.
Pour la tournée qui suivra, Emilie-Claire sera comme à son habitude entourée de certains des meilleurs musiciens de la scène jazz du Québec et du Canada avec des formations qui peuvent aller du quatuor à l’octet et plus!
Emilie-Claire Barlow est non seulement une chanteuse exceptionnelle, elle est une artiste, arrangeuse, productrice et réalisatrice accomplie. Elle est reconnue pour ses réinventions ingénieuses des classiques de la pop et du jazz, qu’elle livre, dans les deux langues officielles, de manière raffinée avec son style toujours charmant et cette voix d’une beauté inoubliable. Après avoir enregistré son premier album à l'âge de 22 ans, Emilie-Claire Barlow, qui cumule plus de 500 000 000 d’écoutes sur les différentes plateformes, a aujourd’hui 13 albums à son actif, dont plusieurs ont été récompensés par des nominations et prix, dont 1 Félix (pour Seule ce soir), 2 prix JUNO (pour Seule ce soir et Clear Day).
Ses nombreuses tournées à travers le monde lui ont permis de se forger une réputation scénique exceptionnelle grâce à cette voix unique qui fait d’elle une des plus grandes chanteuses au pays.

She is just so, so good. Amazing vocal talent and her band and arrangements are outstanding as well. I can't believe I got to see her in person!! Never thought it would happen since her dates are typically Canada, the coasts and Texas. Would LOVE for her to come to Madison, WI... someday?? Can't recommend highly enough. She's just outstanding.

Emilie-Claire Barlow Biography
Emilie-Claire Barlow is an award winning and critically acclaimed Canadian jazz singer, arranger, record producer and voice actress. A two time Juno Award winner and 6 time nominee, she has released 12 self-produced albums on her own label, Empress Music Group.
Her performing career spans over 24 years in venues ranging from Toronto’s storied Montreal Bistro & Top of the Senator, to Tokyo’s Cotton Club and more recently concerts with symphony orchestras at Toronto’s Massey Hall and Montreal’s Maison Symphonique. She has performed at the Montreal Jazz Festival on seven occasions including a 2015 performance on the Main Stage with 50,000 people attending.
Ms. Barlow has lead bands featuring the finest musician’s in Canada. Her work as a band leader and producer has been recognized with a Juno Award nomination for “Producer of Year” for her recording “Clear Day” (2015) — notable for being only the 2nd Jazz recording nominated in this category. Ms. Barlow is also one of a very women to be honoured as “Producer of the Year”.
Ms. Barlow’s all francophone recording “Seule ce soir” won a Juno and Felix Award in 2013 representing an unprecedented achievement in Canadian bilingualism.
After releasing her second holiday album Lumières d'hiver in 2017, Emilie-Claire turned her attention to her duo project with Steve Webster, Bocana. Bocana has released 8 singles over the last couple of years in the electro-pop, lounge, world music genres, amassing a healthy following on streaming platforms. ECB has also released a collection of James Taylor covers as part of her JT Project.
