To celebrate the new year and his new single ”Love is Everything” featuring the George Porter, Jr Trio, songwriter and slide master Marc Stone is hosting an epic throwdown at Tipitna’s featuring Porter’s band, The Marc Stone 3 and NOLA funk/jam favorites the Quickening. Spicing up the night will be a multi-generational line up of guests, ranging from artists in their 20s the masters in their 80s and criss-crossing myriad segments of the New Orleans scene. Inter-band mashups are on tap and special guests include Dirty Dozen Brass Band founder and baritone sax virtuoso Roger Lewis, slide guitar icon John Mooney, NOLAmericana songbird Lynn Drury, The Tanglers violinist James Hausman, Honey Island Swamp Band drummer Garland Paul, members of instrumental space rockers Bakey’s Brew and more
