About this concert
The Frog Pond Sunday Social – an enchanting, invitation-only live music experience, located under a two-hundred-year-old cedar tree in Silverhill, Alabama – is a hidden gem. It takes place at the private residence of the host, Cathe Steele. The Frog Pond is a tight, connected community, and “a core of solid songwriting.” While most of the sounds found at The Frog Pond typically find root in the troubadour, Americana, and Blues traditions – much of The Frog Pond’s charm stems from sometimes unique pairings, group play sessions, and lineups one might not expect, in a ‘songwriters in the round’ rotation – pairing players who might not usually have the opportunity to perform together, and seeing what they can create. For more than a decade, The Frog Pond’s Sunday Socials have risen to the forefront of the local music scene, forging a new experience for music lovers. The Frog Pond Sunday Social is by invitation or RSVP only, which is a safeguard provision to protect the intimate, familial environment and the ongoing sense of respect that the event is on private property. All door fees & donations are passed to the performing musicians. “It is not about a profit margin or personal gain,” says Cathe Steele, “It is about relationships, community, and the music.” We hope to see you at the show! Be prepared to have an experience that changes the way you listen to music. Email thefrogpondbluemoonfarm@gmail.com for details and seat reservations.

Ricky and Micol torn down the house as usual. The awesome 100+ year old venue was a perfect match for the old soul sounds of Blue Mother Tupelo!

Blue Mother Tupelo Biography
Blue Mother Tupelo is the songwriter/artist husband-and-wife duo of Ricky & Micol Davis. BMT oozes a kind of blue, southern-soul and roots-y, country rock that cuts a deep line straight to your heart. BMT’s songs and recordings have garnered favor from fans in the U.S. and around the world, charting on various Top 40 charts for radio; finding themselves in exceptional company debuting at #2 (and holding that position for weeks, behind the legendary artist Kris Kristofferson) on the Euro-Americana charts; and also their co-written song, "Playin' With Fire" reached the Country Music Top 40 chart for Country artist Katie Armiger. Ricky & Micol have had song appearances in movies, lent their voices and instruments to a number of TV & radio commercials, and have appeared as guest musicians and vocalists - as well as Ricky as producer - on recordings of other popular and inspiring artists. In 2019 Ricky & Micol accompanied Mindy Smith on The Grand Ole Opry. Most-recently, Blue Mother Tupelo was one of ten featured performing songwriter artists chosen by BMI to perform on "The New Sounds Of Nashville" concert. The Davis duo is working on a new Blue Mother Tupelo studio album that has a decidedly electric edge with plans for a 2020 release, BMT’s 25th Anniversary. This will be BMT’s 6th full-length album. Ricky & Micol lived in "The Music City" Nashville, Tennessee area for over 20 years. In early 2019 they moved to Como, Mississippi where they happily currently reside; another town full of musical heritage in its own right.
