Nicholas Hennink music Biography
Nicholas Hennink is a powerful and transformative force in the Christian rock music scene, blending his powerful musical talent with a testimony of redemption, healing, and hope. A paramedic for over a decade, Nicholas earned the prestigious Canadian Paramedic of the Year award in 2020 and was honored with the Star of Life for his unwavering dedication to saving lives and serving others in his community. But despite these heroic accolades, his personal journey was far from easy.
Before stepping into the spotlight of Christian rock, Nicholas found success with his song “Warriors,” a heartfelt tribute to 9/11 that was featured by the US Army. But the trauma he witnessed as a first responder took a deep toll on his mental health. Battling PTSD and addiction, Nicholas found himself at a dark crossroads, struggling to cope with the weight of his pain. It was in this devastating place that God called him out of the darkness.
Together with his wife, Nicholas surrendered to God's will, and a powerful message was spoken over them: “I’ll put the right people in place.” Those words became a prophetic truth that began to unfold in Nicholas’s life, guiding him toward his true calling—using his music to share God’s love and healing with others, not for personal gain but to glorify Him. The wounds of the past began to heal, and a new vision for his life emerged.
Now, Nicholas is living out that calling. His music is no longer about fame or recognition; it’s about reaching the broken and offering the hope that can only be found in Christ. With a heart fully surrendered to God, he has toured alongside PETRA, one of the most iconic Christian rock bands of all time, and is preparing for a tour with the renowned Newsboys, a group that has shaped the Christian music landscape for decades.
Nicholas’s debut full-length album, Victory is Ours, was recorded in Nashville and serves as a testimony to God's power to restore, heal, and bring victory even in the darkest times. Each song on the album is a declaration of triumph over the struggles that once threatened to break him.
Today, Nicholas Hennink is living in the fullness of God’s promises, and through his music, he continues to spread a message of hope: With Him, all wounds can be healed. His story is one of grace, redemption, and the unwavering love of God, and through every note and lyric, he encourages others to find the strength to heal and to keep moving forward in faith.
New album will be released early this year
