Kyle Smith Biography
Singer-songwriter Kyle Smith, from Ventura, CA offers his blend of "Cali-Reggae" influenced by Ska, Hip-Hop, and Punk Rock that is catchy & truthful. Kyle's roots come from troubled youth and addiction. His self-titled debut EP gives you a glimpse of the life he endured with songs like “Dope Fiend” and “Jaded” all the while keeping an uplifting spirit and tempo. Kyle is a warrior, and a beacon of light whose goal in life is to give hope and spread positive vibes with his music. His talent is raw, natural, and unforced. Whether solo with his guitar, or backed with a band, Kyle stands tall and proud. With a flash of his smile he immediately warms up the room and invites you into his world.
His last release "My Friend" (featuring Fortunate Youth's Dan Kelly) just debuted at #3 on iTunes Top Reggae songs on April 9th. Aside from the recent shutdown, Kyle has been touring & performing nationally at festivals such as California Roots, One Love Cali Reggae Fest, Mammoth Reggae Festival and more. He appeals to a wide audience because his sound touches everything from HipHop & Punk Rock, to Spanish & Acoustic. Even in the most recent months he's been causing a ruckus and selling out private events and venues from LA to NY.
