About this concert
Big D and the Kids Table
Big D and the Kids Table is a ska punk band formed in October 1995 in Boston, Massachusetts, when its members converged in college. Their first release was on their own Fork in Hand Records label but have since teamed with Springman Records and SideOneDummy. The band has been noted for its strict DIY work ethic, such as engineering, producing, and releasing their own albums and videos and self-promotion of their own shows.
On July 13, 2021, the band announced via Consequences of Sound that their first new studio album of all original material in eight years, Do Your Art, will be released on October 22, 2021, through SideOneDummy records. The 20-song album was recorded in early 2021 and produced by Matt Appleton of Reel Big Fish, the Inevitables, and Goldfinger. The first single off this record, "Too Much," was released with an accompanying music video on July 16, 2021.
The Planet Smashers
The Planet Smashers are a Canadian ska punk band from Montreal. Since their formation in 1993, they have been a staple of the Montreal music scene. During the third wave of ska, they performed nationally and later internationally, with tours in the United States, Europe, and Japan. Founding member Matt Collyer helped establish Stomp Records in 1994, which featured many ska and ska punk bands, including Montreal's The Kingpins, The Flatliners, The Know How, and Bedouin Soundclash. Their music has been used in the Japanese flash series Catman, Canadian show Radio Free Roscoe, and MTV's Undergrads (shown on Teletoon in Canada). Lyrics by The Planet Smashers often deal with topics such as love, partying and good times, and sometimes use tongue-in-cheek innuendo.

“Mega Infinity don’t fit into a singular box, and they like it that way.”- Substream Magazine

" Together, they make an eclectic mix of indie, emo, pop, hip-hop, shoegaze, and progressive rock. The real magic here is how seamlessly they fit their many influences into a cohesive batch of songs on Rainbow Heartache. It’s a dreamy pop, genre-bending masterpiece to be sure.
Rainbow Heartache offers up a kaleidoscope of influences that blend together beautifully. Pair that with some deeply personal lyrics, and you’ve got an album that shouldn’t be overlooked." Dane Jackson
As a complete piece of work, Rainbow Heartache retains the energetic spark that Mega Infinity has championed since its beginnings. Yet, every creative aspect of its formation: the artwork, the sound quality, the band’s blending of other stylistic attributes, the decisiveness of the songs’ messages, and the record’s overall presence, reveals true growth for Mega Infinity
