tyler donavan Biography
With a sound that can’t be boxed into a single genre and a spirit that refuses to be boxed out by any obstacle, tyler donavan is blazing his own trail as one of the brightest emerging artists coming out of Virginia. For over a decade, the Norfolk-based rapper/songwriter has been making a name for himself with his versatility and vulnerability that has been compared to the likes of Childish Gambino, Lupe Fiasco & Kanye West.
However, no great story comes without setbacks. Following emergency spinal surgery in 2018, tyler was told he likely wouldn’t walk again. Discouraged, yet determined, he would refuse the recommended assistance of a wheelchair & made his triumphant return to the stage within 15 months of recovery & physical therapy. Since this life-altering moment, tyler’s star has continued to rise as he releases more music & visuals. tyler is currently putting the final touches on his debut full-length project gasping4air, which will release in August 2023.
