Higher Education
Embark on a sonic journey with Higher Education, where psychedelic-soaked roots converge with the raw, rebellious spirit of rock ‘n’ roll. Hailing from the vibrant state of Maryland, this dynamic trio, aptly named Higher Ed, is composed of the Devaney brothers, Petey and Danny, wielding guitars, bass, and vocals, and the rhythmic prowess of Bradley Wilson on drums. What sets Higher Ed apart is the distinctive songwriting of the brothers, creating an experience that feels like two bands seamlessly fused into one, yet producing a remarkably cohesive sound. As they traverse the country, their live performances explode with high-octane energy, delivering an extensive original repertoire that transcends conventional genre boundaries. At the core of Higher Ed’s music are rocking guitar riffs, infectious bass lines, commanding drums, and captivating melodies. The result is a unique musical tapestry and signature sound that continues to refine and mature.
Feel Free
Sounds to help you FeelFree. Formed in Alexandria, Virginia by childhood friends Andrew Pfeiffer, Evan Hulehan and Garrett Clausen, rock reggae band FeelFree’s smooth sound fuses feel-good songs with explosive horn lines to create an original sound with sky high vibes and a live show that you don’t want to miss..
The band has independently written and produced three albums with their 2018 LP Define the Free winning a “Wammie” for Washington DC’s Best Reggae Album of 2018. Pegged as “the sound of summer” by Northern Virginia Magazine, FeelFree has sold-out shows around the DC, Virginia and Maryland area, playing some of the mid-Atlantic’s biggest festivals like FloydFest, LOCKN’, and Jampacked, and shared the stage with critically-acclaimed internationally and nationally touring acts like Steel Pulse, Lettuce, Everclear, Sister Nancy, The English Beat, Sublime w/ Rome, The Movement, and The Elovaters. The band is currently at work on their fourth full length album.
Lady Couch
“It’s rare for a regular soul band to know what to do with the guitars, and it’s equally rare for a rock band to know what to do with the horns. Essentially though, LadyCouch is its own animal and, unless it has escaped this humble scribe’s attention, nobody else in town is doing what they do. They’re also a hell of a lot of fun.”
Last Resort
Last Resort formed in 2020, weeks before the pandemic, and immediately began writing and recording the songs that would become the heart of their unique sound. Members of the band hail from the DC area and are comprised of veterans of the DC/MD/VA reggae, ska, punk and hardcore scene.
Last Resort released their first EP “Other Side of the World” in August 2022 to glowing reviews from fans and reggae music sites alike. The band enlisted the reggae-dub soaked mind of Andrew Mencher (Wisdom and Sound) for producing, mixing and mastering duties on the EP and brought the sound to another level.
