Air Drawn Dagger Biography
Formed in Sheffield, Air Drawn Dagger blend raw emotion and defiance into a sound that defies genre.
Their name, taken from Macbeth, symbolizes the chaos and emotional outbursts that fuel their music.
Guitarist Lewis and vocalist Maisie started writing in a Cake Shop, cutting their teeth on DIY tours across
the UK and North America, and winning over crowds everywhere, from hardcore shows to tapas
restaurants. BBC Introducing championed their early releases, and they soon found themselves on major
playlists like Pop Punk Generation, Emo Anthems, and All New Rock.
The band’s 2023 EP Songs to Fight the Gods To—produced by Neil Kennedy (Creeper, Boston Manor)—took
their sound to a new level. Combining haunting pianos, hip-hop beats, and synths with the spirit of early-
2000s emo, the five tracks tackle themes of rebellion, destiny, and dismantling systems of power. It’s a
powerful statement of who they are: a genre-bending force with a message of defiance and individuality.
The band’s live shows are a therapeutic space for outsiders to embrace their darker sides in a raucous,
inclusive celebration.
Air Drawn Dagger’s momentum is undeniable. They’ve sold out major headline shows, including the
legendary Leadmill, and completed sold-out UK dates with Millie Manders. Recent dates with Lake Malice,
Dream State, and AVIVIA saw back-to-back sellouts along with curating their own stage at the Tramlines
Festival Fringe. With over 250,000 views on ‘You Should Have Known Better’, featuring on the Kerrang!
chart and multiple tracks premiering on BBC Introducing, the band’s cult-like following continues to grow.
Their debut album, produced by Neil Kennedy, is due in 2025 and Air Drawn Dagger are ready to seize the
next chapter of their journey, bringing their unique sound and fierce energy to even larger stages and
audiences worldwide.
WELCOME TO THE CHURCH OF DAGGER.
