Excellent comeback show from LP at Wembley!
I attended their first round of comeback shows at the O2 last year and commented on how emotional the atmosphere was, with everyone likely feeling mixed emotions about wanting them to do well, being happy that they were back, yet guilty for being there, as though they were somehow disrespecting Chester.
That was not the case this time around, the atmosphere was one of excitement and there was no doubting that the fans were there for the band, their music and to have as much fun as they could,
Putting potential heated past history discussions aside and commenting on the performance on this night alone, Emily is a really fantastic singer, Mike still owns it on stage. The set was From Zero heavy, but with most of the older hits covered. The crowd was immense, the performance insane.

“Hybrid Theory” isn’t just the title of Linkin Park’s first chart-topping debut album, but a career mission statement.
From day one, the same six players, co-lead vocalist, Chester Bennington, drummer/percussionist, Rob Bourdon, guitarist Brad Delson, bassist Dave ‘Phoenix’ Farrell, DJ/Programmer Joe Hahn and Mike Shinoda - co-lead vocals, keyboard, guitar, built the band by fusing all their favorite styles of music into one unmistakable signature sound. With each album, LP defiantly challenges themselves and their fans by blazing into new musical territory. After setting the template for rock that incorporated hip-hop influences with Hybrid Theory and Meteora, they shifted gears completely and defied expectations with the polychromatic Minutes to Midnight, and again with the esoteric A Thousand Suns, before melding a piece of them all into 2012’s LIVING THINGS. With their latest release and heaviest offering in years, The Hunting Party, Linkin Park manage to capture their ever-innovative spirit with a hunger seldom seen in bands on their sixth album.
