About this concert
Planningtorock, T-Boys Club & The Chateau present: GET YOUR FCKIN LAWS OFF MY BODY Remix Party. As we draw towards the close of a tumultuous year for our community, three titans of underground queer clubbing join forces to celebrate the release of Planningtorock’s GET YOUR FCKIN LAWS OFF MY BODY remixes! "Our bodies are a gift and our autonomy is our right" Originally released in May 2024 on Chateau Records X Listen Generously, Get Your Fckin Laws Off My Body has become an anthem for queer & trans liberation. With the message more relevant than ever, new versions by some of the queer community’s most loved DJs & producers, will be released throughout November & December, culminating in the REMIX PARTY on Dec 13th. Get Your Fckin Laws Off My Body is about protecting our physical autonomy and remembering that your body is yours. We use this club space to support the fight to ban the so called conversion therapy which our government has still shamefully failed to do. We use this club space to feel empowered, and have our autonomy seen, as the campaign against these abusive practices continues. With the current backdrop of increasing anti-trans legislation & the toxic media frenzy towards queer & trans bodies, we unify together on the dancefloor on Dec 13th, for one final dance of the year, in our collective rage & our collective joy.

Planningtorock Biography

The alter ego of multi-instrumentalist/programmer/videographer Janine Rostron, Planningtorock fuses all of Rostron's talents into a dazzling audiovisual presentation that borrows from classical music, glam rock, spacey imagery, and hip-hop. A classically trained violinist who began playing at age eight, Rostron moved from Bolton, Lancashire, to Berlin in the early '90s; the Planningtorock persona first surfaced in 2002, when she began performing at the city's clubs. Planningtorock's live shows blurred the boundaries between concerts and performance art, with Rostron wearing outlandish helmets and costumes and interacting with video characters. Planningtorock's debut single Modern Love and the Weimar Tour EP arrived early the following year and showcased Rostron's unique mix of pizzicato strings, beats, and husky vocals that could change from bluesy to quirky (or vice versa) at a moment's notice. In 2004, Rostron issued the MP3 EP Topics on a Foreign Mind via Twisted Nerve Records, as well as EP Eins -- which featured the underground hit "Local Foreigner" -- on her own Rostron imprint (which also released work by the Knife, the Soft Pink Truth, and Kevin Blechdom). After signing to Chicks on Speed Records, Planningtorock released the limited-edition 7" Changes/I Wanna Bite Ya early in 2006 and her first full-length, Have It All, that summer.
