Kevin James Thornton

It was AWESOME! A great vibe. So many of us in the crowd had also grown up in “superfundamentalist churches”…, as evidenced by all of us singing along to “lord I lift your name on high”! Just a really, really fun show. And the venue was great!

Excellent turn out for this show, and we got our drink order in and received really quickly even though they were still seating customers and getting increasingly busy. Our server didn’t notice us for the next 20 minutes unfortunately (all through the opening set) and we couldn’t flag him down for ages to order food, but eventually we got his attention. Opening sets were pretty good but the headliner Kevin James Thornton was just amazing. His storytelling style of comedy isn’t just a string of jokes or harassing audience members like some comedians. He has endless hours of material as well as a great knack for commanding the stage. Loved every minute of it and the friends I brought were all laughing their asses off.

The chicken tenders were dry. Just kidding, the show was amazing and so was Kevin but that was expected. He was super funny and glad that he did pictures afterwards. I could tell he has a big heart and wants to connect with his fans :)

It was a great show! I have followed Kevin on Instagram for a while and I was very entertained by his show. He is such a great and funny guy!. Also, it was my first time at this venue and I loved it overall; the place, the customer service, food and drinks all met our expectations. I was also pleasantly surprised by the follow up calls I got after I reached out to reserve a table. Will more than likely be back for another good comedy show. Good job Mic Drop!

Kevin is HILARIOUS!! I love his TikTok videos, but haven't really watched any of his stand-up videos, so I didn't really know what to expect. He is everything that I hoped for & more. I'm definitely going to see him again!

Kevin is simply the best! We laughed and cried. Kevin’s show is not to be missed. He made the show personal and stayed after to meet with fans. it really doesn’t get any better than that. I saw Kevin James Thornton when he was here two years ago and thought he was amazing then—but this time? I was absolutely blown away. He was fall-over-my-seat funny. I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. I had an absolute blast from start to finish. Both of his openers were funny AF—seriously, no weak links in the lineup. The entire show was a 5-star, chef’s kiss experience. If you get the chance to see him live, DO IT. You won’t regret it.

Kevin is hysterical, and I loved the show. This was my first time to Funny Bone, and I thought it was an excellent venue. Angelica was our server, and we loved her! It was fun to hear some new material from Kevin. I'm a big fan, and this was my first time seeing him in person. I enjoyed the experience very much. Also, Elijah is fantastically funny too!

My partner and I saw Kevin for his first comedy show, after being rediscovered, in Nashville. I was amazed by his understanding of the craft. I've been following him through his podcast, Call Kevin, and have listen to some of American Queer. When i heard he had a new set I HAD to see him again. It was phenomenal. I even got to ask him a question at the end of the set. I'm still fan-girling haha. Thank you Kevin, take your much deserved break, enjoy Europe, and when you are ready we will be here for your, TV series, TED Talk, AND book!

The 2 acts before KJT were really good and funny. When Kevin came out the crowd erupted with claps and whoops of joy. He was just as expected, very funny, but also very real about his life. My BFF and I had the best time, and we laughed so much. It was such a wonderful evening. I highly recommend seeing Kevin James Thornton. He is darling and so funny!

KJT is The Best! This was our second time seeing him, and his opener, Lamar Quinn, is just as funny and relatable as Kevin. If you have opportunity to see them before KJT takes some time off, GO! You will not be disappointed.

SO FUNNY! His opener was amazing, and Kevin was so charismatic and witty. Lots of laughs and sincere, genuine moments. He was only on stage for about an hour, and I'd have liked to see a bit more of him, and I'm not a fan of FCFS seating, but it was still a great show!

Kevin put on a great show, like I knew he would, but the two opening comedians were great also. I'd never been to The Punchline before, and it's a nice venue, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. I hope Kevin comes back after his adventure in Europe!

So funny! I am not a big follower of stand up, but KJT makes me laugh and I will always attend his show if he's in the area. There is just something special about his delivery. He can deliver so much funny with a calm and personable tone.

I follow Kevin on Facebook and absolutely love his Reels. I've known comedians that sometimes don't translate from social to stage, but I wanted to support Kevin so I purchased tickets for my partner and I as soon as they dropped. We were not disappointed! Kevin's set was fresh and playful with just the right amount of his vocoder claim to fame, "It was the 90's." He had the audience gladly participating in his antics and sent us all home with tons of new one-liner inside jokes, which our household has had on repeat since we left. Great job, Kevin! We'll be checking out his special on Amazon and can't wait for his return to Denver.

DID NOT STOP LAUGHING! Quin Lamar did a fantastic job and KJT absolutely killed it. I was blown away by the amazing vibe that Louisville Comedy Club has created. From security to food and everything in between....10/10 would definitely recommend and will certainly return. And if you can catch Kevin on tour, YOU SHOULD!

Kevin & Quin were awesome! This was my first time at The Parkway Theater and I look forward to a return. Tickets were easy to purchase. I liked the comfy seats with lots of leg room. Everything about the show was terrific.

Love Mark Ridley’s Comedy Castle! Loved seeing Kevin James Thornton! His stories make me laugh, even though I’m a straight married Mom! I would love to squeeze his cheeks but he made it very clear to NOT! <3

Amazing show, but the venue had so many issues with service and dealing with that was so distracting that sadly, it affected my enjoyment. The opening act was also really hard to hear so I couldn't enjoy his set much either. I won't be returning to Denver Improv. If you're thinking of seeing Kevin, though, don't hesitate! He's fantastic - hilarious, genuine, down to earth, exactly what you'd expect. Well worth the time and money!

Kevin James and his opener, Quinn were excellent! What was not excellent was the venue and the service. Our server was polite enough, but made defensive comments when we asked how much longer the food was going to take. Every request felt like a burden to the server and it felt like an offense when I asked for more chips. I ordered a water with my meal and never received it. However, I was charged for a bottled water. We were also crammed into a table for four which barely fit my husband and I, plus two strangers. I had a knee brace on and it was difficult to find a comfortable place to stretch out my leg, so I ended up standing for much of the performance. Not one employee noticed or cared that I had a knee brace and perhaps it was a challenge to squeeze in. I also got reprimanded for taking a photo. Since the server messed up the check (plus several other table's checks we observed), we missed the end of Mr Thornton's set having to haggle over the bill. Though the waiter was apologetic, I did not feel welcome or taken care of there. With a minimum purchase and automatically added gratuity, I was asked to make an additional tip while the server looked at me. I did not. Lastly, the host was not my favorite. All of his jokes concerned being molested , pedophilia, and a Columbine joke. I wonder if it was his job to make the headliners look better? He was not my cup of tea.
