Busty and the Bass Biography

A soul-jazz collective with Canadian-American roots, the genre-blending Busty and the Bass pull together a diverse set of influences across their instrument-spanning lineup. Since forming at the Schulich School of Music in Montreal, the group have moved through the 2010s and 2020s with the studio albums Uncommon Good, Eddie, and Forever Never Cares, landing collaborations with artists from George Clinton to Verdine White and touring extensively across North America and Europe. The band's ambitious and genre-fusing third set, Forever Never Cares, earned them a nomination for Breakthrough Group of the Year at the 2024 Juno Awards
