About this concert
Impious Spirit Productions presents LOVE THE SYSTEM at Coda Colchester, on The First Friday of The Month! This March, we're excited to present: Who's Driving? Bear's Driving! Originally started in 2009 as a 6 piece, in a garage belonging to guitarist Aj Grand-Scrutton's parents, Essex's own Who's Driving? Bear's Driving! are quintessential Pop Punk, no nonsense, done right, as it should be! Over the years the band has been through member changes, psuedo break-ups and a lot of cheesy pop-punk songs about girls, and now they're here ready to blow the people of Colchester away at March's LOVE THE SYSTEM event! Their most recent release, 2024's Pushing A Pull Door, is a must listen for any and all pop punk fans. WDBD wouldn't seem amiss at the big festivals, so it's no wonder they've shared a stage with the likes of Deaf Havana and The Wonder Years. I mean, ARE you a pop punk fan from Essex if you don't know who these guys are!? Emergency Break With their wild live performances and distinctive rock sound, Emergency Break have taken the London music scene by storm. Rock, punk or indie? We'll let you decide, as they make their Colchester debut this March. Already having sold out shows in across London and amassing fans both here and abroad, these guys are ready to take over the world and 2025 is looking like the year they do exactly that. Myopia Colchester favourites Myopia are no strangers to the bars and clubs of Colchester. Having worked themselves to the bone, their larger-than-life sound is nestled somewhere between rock, punk, and metal, reaching out to fans of bands like Muse, Royal Blood and Metallica alike. Don't bother trying to put them in a box, as they'll just burst right out of it with something unexpected. They're opening up this LOVE THE SYSTEM with tunes that will make you wanna dance, bang your head, mosh, sway and sing along at the same time. A duo you definitely need to keep an eye on... Live Music followed by DJ Pressplay DJ Sets until 2am! 20:00 Doors

Emergency Break Biography
Emerging from London, 'Emergency Break' put a fresh spin on the Post-Punk Indie scene.
Comprised of Lead Vocalist Leo Gerchen, Bass Player Ewan Hawkins, Lead Guitarist Joe Adams, Drummer James Brooks, Rhythm Guitarist Oran Docker, Emergency Break set out to create a storm.
Meeting at various points in their lives, Emergency Break was formed on a whim by Ewan Hawkins & Leo Gerchen who had the creative endeavours to bring ‘showmanship’ to the ‘Indie-Rock’ and ‘Post-punk’ scene. The band then shortly added the key addition of Joe Adams. Soon after, the band released their first single “IT'S OVER” in 2023 which was released to underground acclaim.
The band's rising power is reflected in their ability to sell out “The Camden Assembly” in London in July 2023 after only being a band for 6 months.
Emergency Break have developed reputation on the London and subsequent UK gig scene as “rising stars” and “ones to watch”.
The band show no sign of stopping and are certainly ones to keep an eye on.
