Mackenzie Carpenter Biography
Hailing from Athens, GA, Mackenzie Carpenter is a singer/songwriter whose soulful Country tone was honed by singing in her local church as a kid. She was inspired by her dad to begin writing songs while her two older brothers taught her how to play guitar. Her musical upbringing led her to attend Belmont University in Nashville where she immediately immersed herself into the local songwriting community. Her first cut as a songwriter, “Villain,” landed at No. 1 on the iTunes Country chart. She has since been a part of writing current hits such as "I'm Not Pretty", "Indifferent", "28th of June", and more all recorded by Megan Moroney. She is making her mark as an artist with her successful first single “Can’t Nobody,” and the much anticipated, “Huntin’ Season,” following a video of her performance at a writer’s round that amassed 6+ MILLION views on TikTok alone. Mackenzie is building a strong fanbase online and on the road having already opened for Miranda Lambert, Cole Swindell, Megan Moroney, Jake Owen, Parker McCollum, Craig Morgan and more. After being named one of CMT’s Next Women of Country and Spotify's Hot Country Artist's to Watch, she is currently in the studio recording her debut project, playing shows here there and everywhere, and gearing up for her Headlining Shows.
