Ntjam Rosie Biography
Since the release of the critically acclaimed album ‘Elle’ in 2010, Cameroon-born Ntjam Rosie (1983) has been building a loyal following in the Netherlands and abroad.
In February 2020 her sixth studio album ‘Family and Friends’ was released and again well received, in December 2021 followed up by the home recorded solo EP, ‘Home Cooking’. Recently she teamed up in the studio with the young talents of SMANDEM. They released ‘Elle: reworked’ in April 2023 (o-tone records). Watch out for new music coming out in fall 2025!
Ntjam Rosie has worked with many great names in the Dutch jazz scene among which the Artvark Saxophone Quartet, Bart Wirtz, Eric Vloeimans, Martin Fondse, Reinier Baas, Ronald Snijders, Teus Nobel, (..). Also she has performed live with Metropole Orchestra, Sinfonia Rotterdam and Nederlands Blazersensemble, (..)
Ntjam Rosie has played on many stages and jazz festivals in the Netherlands – including the North Sea Jazz Festival – and has toured in over 20 countries. She has appeared numerous times on Dutch national radio and TV programs.
