Deadron

Tarantula Hawk is a band from San-Diego, CA. Their music is heavy rock, though sometimes rather ambient, and shaped with rather odd-sounding guitar and synthesizer. The resulting sound creates very dense, dark and mysterious atmosphere, rather similar to some earlier works of Pink Floyd and King Crimson. They also have more than a few similarities to their patrons, Neurosis, who re-leased the self-titled record in 2002 on to their Neurot Recordings label.
