About this concert
After three years of touring across Europe, setting fundraisers for social awareness and sharing the stage with the likes of Touche Amore, While She Sleeps or even Enter Shikari, Budapest’s very own melodic hardcore/metalcore band Satelles revisits their roots on Arcadia, their new EP. The band identified by their Eastern-European spleen secures now their own vision about the Arcadian trope, mankind’s distinction between a welcoming utopia worth to be built and a chaotic, barren ground driven by anger itself. The release that also touches the topics of societal dynamics and autocratic narrations across Eastern-Europe has been mixed by Andreas Magnusson (Twelve Tribes, Despised Icon) and mastered by Alan Douches (Converge, The Dillinger Escape Plan). Sharing the same line-up in the past eight years, the band constantly improved their sound inspired by ‘00s melodic hardcore of Sinking Ships or Verse along with the transitional phase of metalcore with the likes of Misery Signals, Poison The Well or Shai Hulud. IDIOTEQ named their second album as "another worthy addition to the legacy of European melodic hardcore", No Echo compared them to Counterparts, and Hungarian premiere underground webzine NuSkull have chosen their latest release as the album of the year in 2021. In the past years they played with the likes of Rise Against, Comeback Kid, Bane, Trial, Endzweck and Renounced too, and they had three European tours where they (re-)visited 12 countries.

Satelles Biography

Satelles is a melodic hardcore/punk band from Budapest, ignited by Eastern-European spleen and a willing-to-act motivation in activism through social sensitivity.

During the past nine years, the band tried to implement a sound that's inspired by the angst parade of Life Long Tragedy or Shai Hulud, while the passionate verses and lyrics are highly inspired by the heritage of Verse. No Echo compared their sound to Counterparts and Sinking Ships, Visions praised their social awareness in an illiberal state as a sound of resistance, and IDIOTEQ called their second album as "another worthy addition to the legacy of European melodic hardcore".

Since then, Satelles was able to tour Europe three times, set fundraisers for the likes of Food Not Bombs or Budapest Bike Maffia, and they could also share the stage with the likes of Rise Against, Comeback Kid, While She Sleeps or Anti Flag. Their latest release "3AM Confessions" has been mixed by Markus Matzinger (Implore, Sixscore), mastered by Grammy-award winner Alan Douches (Converge, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Touche Amore), while the artwork has been done by Austrian graphic designer aplacefortom (Chelsea Wolfe, Nothing, Russian Circles).
