The Horrors Biography
There are two bands called the Horrors.
The UK Horrors are one of the most-talked about bands in the UK at the moment.
Formed by ace faces of the East London and Southend-on-sea, United Kingdom angular scene in 2006, The Horrors are a garage rock band that have released four singles and one album for Loog and an EP in the US. They have already been on the front cover of NME, despite their singles being so limited that they are already considered collectors' items.
First single was "Sheena is a Parasite", which was promoted with a banned video by Chris Cunningham. B-side was a cover version of Screaming Lord Sutch's "Jack The Ripper".
Second single "Death At The Chapel" was released on the 31st of July, backed with "Crawdaddy Simone", originally by the Syndicats.
Third single "Count in Fives" came with two b-sides, confusingly labelled incorrectly on the 7" vinyl copies.
Their fourth single "Gloves" was the first eligible for the charts, and peaked at #34.
Their debut album "Strange House" was released in the UK on 5th March, 2007 peaking at #37 in the charts.
The Horrors have gained quite a reputation with their fast paced live shows and unique sense of fashion and sound.
Members are Faris Badwan Rotter, Spider Webb, Coffin Joe, Tomethy Furse, and Joshua Third (originally called Joshua von Grimm, and a Bsc Physics graduate).
The band tour constantly, often as part of an NME package of indie bands with whom the Horrors claim to have nothing in common.

The American one who recorded "Briar Patch" are no longer playing.
