AZURE Biography
Described as “fun, funky and high-octane” by PostBurnout.com, Dublin-based AZURE (Sam Jones, Seán Woods, Evanael, Devin Hanson, and Sam Parcon) emerged into the college alternative music scene in late 2023. Originally starting as a few friends playing music, the band found themselves striving for more.
Taking from the group’s various influences, ranging from the rock and indie sounds of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Arctic Monkeys, to mellow reggae, to pop and disco from the Sugababes and Nile Rogers, the band’s discography contains a track for everyone to enjoy.
The band’s debut EP, Casa Del Dáil, was released in April 2024, containing fan-favourite tracks, such as singles Leave It Out and Getaway, as well as new tracks Soul Stricken Misfit Black and She, showcasing “a wisdom in arranging and playing beyond their years”, according to Rohan Healy of Beardfire Music.
With their early gigs in Fibber Magee’s to more recently performing in Drogheda and Galway, as well as selling out Whelan’s Upstairs and the Soundhouse, the band have honed their craft, bringing a powerful energy to each and every show.
AZURE's most recent EP "The Girl from the Posters" is out now on all platforms!
