Alter Apex

For Alter Apex, being in a band is just as much about friendship and community building as it is about pumping out badass jams…

The band formed in 2020 when four Albuquerque NM (US) music scene veterans, Ken Hendricks (Guitar & Lead Vocals), Dexter Gonzalez (Lead Guitar & Backing Vocals), Ken Weinman (Drums) and Eric Garay (Bass), formed the group in response to a sudden burst of quarantine period songwriting inspiration of a style akin to some of their earliest grunge and metal influences.

Given the challenges of forming the group during the most locked down period of the Covid pandemic in the US, Alter Apex began producing their own music discovery show called Alter Apex Radio to network with other rockers around the globe. This community building has become a large part of their identity as a band.

Alter Apex has now completed work on their 8th official release, the song Not Your Time, a response to the epidemic of suicide within US culture. The song drops Friday, September, 16th! 🤘
