Sahaj Unlimited presents Indian-influenced folk-pop music with roots in the spiritual tradition of the bhajan- and qawwali-genres.
Bhajans are Indian songs dedicated to spirituality, while qawwali are Urdu-language praise songs based on Sufi mysticism. One of the most famous qawwali singers is Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, whose songs Sahaj Unlimited often features in its repertoire. Sahaj Unlimited's instrumentation includes North Indian tabla drums, dholak, harmonium, accordion, guitar, chorus of singers and solo singers who change from song to song.
