LINEUP: Manapool [stl | jungle & trance | 909 worldwide, unseelie] St. Louis-based junglist and Materia founder Manapool returns to Chicago for xlx BIG. Known for their unique sound that effortlessly blends together jungle, trance, acid and techno, earning them releases on labels such as 909 worldwide, unseelie and death by sheep. They have collaborated with the likes of Outback, Casper McFadden, DJ Kuroneko and more. If you're a fan of dnb or jungle, you are required to show up. Gaszia [slc | deconstructed club & bass | owlsa, sable valley] Being one half of legendary bass music duo X&G that set a new precedent for bass music, Gaszia has amassed an insane production discography, working with the likes of Skrillex, Boys Noize, Josh Pan, RL Grime, Noisia and more. Focusing more on his solo work in recent years, Gaszia has released a number of remix compilations on his bandcamp that have gained recognition through the underground. You will not want to miss his solo Chicago debut, we promise. Ghozt [nyc | deconstructed club & jungle | drowned by locals, xlx] Ghozt is an up-and-coming producer and DJ based out of NYC. Having collaborated with many rising stars in the deconstructed club community such as Blood of Aza and Kavari, Ghozt brings their insane productions to the table, inspired by ballroom, vogue, jungle, techno to trap. Do not miss an exclusive set filled with never before heard material from this rising legend. Mello Jupiter [chi | jungle & vgm | meowballz] Well known throughout the Chicago underground scene for tearing up dancefloors, Mello, aka Mello Jupiter makes their debut at xlx. They have gotten attention for their fast-paced music inspired by house, video game soundtracks and jungle, recieveing co-signs from Dazegxd and Yesterdayneverhappened. Avas [chi | deconstructed club | xlx] Coming off the recent release of her debut ep 'data', avas brings her unique sound to the table, inspired by early deconstructed club, jersey club, grime, chicago house and techno, her music sounds like you threw an 808 drum machine down the stairs and rediscovering it only to find out it still keeps perfect tempo. She has recieved co-signs from BABii, Thys of Noisia and Umru. While she may be closing the show, you won't want to miss the seemingly endless energy of her set. Visuals by Hazelboy.
