Dave Buker & the Historians Biography
Continuing to play off its strengths with
captivating three-part harmonies and an
increasingly dexterous rhythm section,
Dave Buker and the Historians released a
new album, For Every Heartbreak, in
November 2015. The album, the band’s
first since 2013’s What Can Bring You Back
To Me, features lush horn arrangements,
Buker's vulnerable lyrical content, and production
by Jay Alton (Saintseneca, The
Speedbumps). It was ranked at #39 on
Sound & Silence Magazine’s Top 100
albums of 2015.
Hailing from Columbus, OH, Dave Buker &
the Historians formed in 2010 and has
performed throughout Ohio and
surrounding states, opening for Matthew Logan Vasquez (lead singer of Delta Spirit), Run River North, Red
Wanting Blue, Free Energy, The Stepkids,
and Cotton Jones.
Dave Buker & the Historians has been
showcased by WOSU-TV’s Broad & High
(and was subsequently featured by other
PBS affiliates), selected as a CD102.5FM
Local Artist Contest Finalist, and featured
by American Songwriter Magazine (Daily
Discovery).
With regional radio airplay increasing, Dave
Buker & the Historians is poised to expand
its following and broaden its audience.
